No, Zuzu, I was not going on a quest, or at least no more than any other day. I was at the Celtic Classic, our annual local celebration of all things from the seven Celtic nations. My two usual partners in crime (tk31085 and midnighttomercy) are both of Irish descent, and I’m of Welsh, so we try to go every year.
I did not buy the axe. It was pretty sweet though.
Andrea and I could not look at the various helmets without saying “Grey Warden gear!”
I sampled Guinness and learned that my lifelong instincts were correct. I really, really, really do not like beer, just as I always suspected. I couldn’t even swallow it - I spit it on the ground.
Still do not possess a “Kilt Inspector” shirt, but maybe next year.
Andrea has, for reasons of her own, added yet another entry to my seemingly endless list of nicknames: “Awesome Laura of Awesomeness.” I don’t ask questions anymore.
