Request: Layton wants to marry YOU

NOTHING’S TOO DORKY FOR ME. Hope this is satisfactory.
Flawless Layton impression is flawless.
(Because bayalexison told me to.) Herein are links to all of my existing fan fictions, categorized by fandom.
I’ve only read one complete fanfic of yours so far..how are they themed? Sounds cool, though :)
Well, the first fics where I themed the chapters were my Legend of Zelda stories. ”Until the Sun Grows Cold and the Stars Grow Old,” which is basically a novelization of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess with some stuff added in, uses phrases from Shakespeare for the title and all of the chapter titles. Its sequel, which is more of a parody, is called “If It’s Dinsday, This Must Be Castle Town” and all of the titles in that one are movie titles which have been skewed to fit Hyrule.
And then I joined the FMA fandom and the whole chapter-theming thing went haywire on me. ;) I know you’ve read them, Darby, but for those who haven’t, I wrote this thing called the Elemental Chess Trilogy, which is a three-volume series plus a prequel where each story has a theme. ”Flowers of Antimony” - the title and all the chapter titles are actual alchemical terms. “Brilliancy” - the title and all the chapter titles are chess terms. ”The Game of Three Generals” - the title and all the chapter titles are terms from shogi (Japanese chess, which combines chess and alchemy as if FMA needed to get any more amazing). And “Triumvirate,” the prequel - the title and all chapter titles are military terms that have been in use for at least fifty years.
I didn’t do the chapter theming for my FMA/Ouran crossover (“The Bank Called, Your Reality Check Bounced”), because I couldn’t figure out how that would possibly work, or for my Professor Layton fanfic (“Knights and Knaves”), but I don’t remember why I didn’t for that one.
So yeah, seriously considering researching angel terms for this book. I guess I can try looking them up and then see how many I actually come up with, which needs to be at least thirty since this is intended to be a trilogy. There’s your first hint about the plot. ;)
Almost there. Still have a lot of stuff to do.
Tomorrow night I’ll be having a sort of grownup slumber party with TK and the Emerald Duchess. Duch is getting introduced to the magic that is Ouran; we’re going to show her just the first episode and the episode with Kirimi (so she finally understands what TK and I are laughing about whenever we hear the word ‘debauchery’), and then we’re all going to watch Howl’s Moving Castle.
I’d really love to get pictures with anyone cosplaying as characters from fandoms in which I’ve written fic (FMA, Ouran, Harry Potter, LXG, Zelda, Professor Layton), so if you’re going to be dressing as any of those, give me a shout in ye olde aske boxe or answer box.
Is everyone else who’s going to be at Z-kon as excited as I am?
Amazon box is sitting right here. Can’t wait to watch.
I’m stupidly happy because Flora gets to be in it.
