What Queenie said. Can I just.. peacefully not be forced to like Ilia? My reasons are not part of the above list eitherbut no matter what fans of her try I just don’t… feel her. She is uninteresting and boring to me, that’s why I dont like her. Nintendo just didn’t use her correctly so I can’t bring myself to really like her either. As such, if I don’t feel her, I don’t really find the pairing with Link appealing. XD;

I personally like Ilia and have a soft spot for Ilia/Link (I LIKE CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND PAIRINGS OKAY ;_; …Except Link/Saria, for obvious reasons), but I have no problem with people… not. Since, yeah, Nintendo doesn’t give you a LOT to work with, and it’s just as valid to go, “Well, whatever, don’t care for her much” as to extrapolate from that and go, “Yeah, okay, I do like her”.

But it’s the REASONS people give for disliking her! Like, “She forgot Link!” - dude, AMNESIA IS NOT VOLUNTARY. And, “She yelled at Link!” The confusing part is, a lot of people who dislike Ilia for yelling at Link also like Midna…

Just wanted to chime in with a comment on the amnesia bit.  A number of people seem to think there’s something wrong with Ilia because she had amnesia and the other kids didn’t.  What a lot of them fail to notice is that in the scene where she’s taken prisoner, Ilia is shot.  It has been formally and officially confirmed by one of the creators (I believe it was Ayouma but I’m not positive) that the arrow with which the bulblins shot Ilia was poisoned, and that was the reason for her amnesia.  So not only was her amnesia not voluntary, but she damn well could have died from the same thing that caused it.

I adore Twilight Princess, mostly for the graphics.  My favorite game of all time is Link to the Past.  Have either of you played the originals for the NES?  I can beat the original Zelda game in under four hours.

Ah, you’re referring to the Collector’s Edition.  I have that too, it’s the only reason I’ve ever been able to play Ocarina.

Almost all.  I haven’t played Oracle of Seasons, Wind Waker, Majora’s Mask, Minish Cap, or Four Swords.

Ocarina of time is my all time favorite though. Even compared to the newer games. It just never seems to get old. Majora’s Mask drove me insane.
